Congratuations to John O Shea on a great showing in the WPT Championship

1st - David Williams $1,530,537
2nd - Eric Baldwin $1,034,715
3rd - Shawn Buchanan $587,906
4th - David Benyamine $329,228
5th - Bill Baxter $246,921
6th - John O'Shea $199,888

Fair play to John who was the first to bust out on the final table, he did however enter as the short stack and push-bluffed to steal with 3spade6diamond, but Billy Baxter woke up with AspadeTdiamond in the big blind.

My SCOOP plans...

The $16.50 buy-in Heads up event seems to be my one event this year... I'm hoping for a weak field and a strong attempt from myself should mean I make the money at least with $100k guarinteed a late night would realy be a great bankroll booster. Then with the joys of being in college and doing exams at the time I'll hopefully be able to get some time for poker over the next few weeks

Running Hot

So were almost finished April heres two top earners from tournaments according to OPR:

ambiguosity (FTP) Rated 100% on OPR
Biggest Cash This Year:$101,853 in The Sunday Brawl
squee451 (Stars)
Biggest Cash This Year $89.4k

Makes me feel inadiquate with my $711 total cashes this year…

Phil 'OMG Clay Aiken' Galfond enters the High Stakes Poker Game

The one man barred from entering the Durrr chalenge has entered High Stakes Poker. Heres me expecting ridiculous agression and crazy prop betting from himself and Durrr.
Heres a $437k pot involving the two and the mystery man Isldur1

Seriously, the prop bets on that game are SICK
some prop bets included the red and black flop prop bet (tongue twister isn’t it!!!) between Durrrr and Zigmund

WSOP Tournament of Champions Update

As an idea the TOC great but its become more a popularity contest rather than a tournament based on merit. The Top 20 was released recently and some are lets be honest there because they are a name rather than being deserving winners.

Doyle Brunson
Johnny Chan
T.J. Cloutier
Allen Cunningham
Antonio Esfandiari
Sam Farha
Chris Ferguson
Barry Greenstein
Joe Hachem
Jennifer Harman
Dan Harrington
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Ivey
John Juanda
Howard Lederer
Daniel Negreanu
Scotty Nguyen
Greg Raymer
Huck Seed
Erik Seidel

T.J. Cloutier serious sympathy votes must have came in for the pro who recently flogged his 2005 $5,000 No Limit Hold’em bracelet because he went broke.

Howard Lederer’s name being in the top 20 is stupid. I dont rate him as a NLH player and he’s done little in poker (bar the business side) since the turn of the century. He has no bracelets since 2001 and that was a PLO event and his other bracelet came in 2-7 draw. Honestly it shows the amount of FTP Fanboys around. Fucking railbirds are ruining the idea of the TOC.
The same can be said of Barry Greenstein as much as I love Ace on the River (great read) does not deserve to be in this list.

Phil Hellmuth, will the brat do anything probably not… he’ll probably have aces cracked and we’ll all have to listen to him ranting again… it is entertaining though.

The same can be said for Chris Ferguson. The man even with divine power can’t win a game and plays far too tight/weak to keep up in modern poker.

Heres me hoping for Sammy Farha for the win… or Phil Ivey the man is SICK
